Metro Atlanta Christian Singles, MACS, is a not-for-profit organization formed in 2008 to create social and spiritual-growth events for singles in the greater Atlanta area. It includes volunteers from several churches in North Atlanta. Your ideas and help are welcome in bringing this and other events into reality.

Joe Huggins The Lake Lanier Retreat concept originated with Joe Huggins, who is active at Buckhead Church, serving as a Small Group Leader, Fusion Leader, and Starting Point Facilitator. Joe’s professional background has been in television/film production in Nashville and Los Angeles. He’s produced or directed commercials, dramatic series, corporate programs, including ministry programs for Billy Graham, Dr. James Kennedy, and recently wrote and produced an Imax ride film for Dollywood.

Joe enjoys hosting single events each season in his home including an annual black-tie Oscar Party, in it’s 17th year, that has been covered by Atlanta TV and the AJC. Joe’s heart for singles and ministry began in his late twenties when he served as a part-time singles pastor for one of the first mega-churches in Los Angeles, Van Nuys Baptist.
